FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions

Cost of living in Singapore is too high?
Not true. Singapore is a place where you can surely live in luxury. However most Singaporeans don’t live like that. While you will have ample amount of opportunities to spend, we always recommend our students to live like Singaporeans. The benefits are two fold, you will be able to immerse in the authentic Singaporean cultural experience. And you will be able to get a world class education for a very affordable fee.
I will have to return home immediately after finishing the course?
Not true. Around 30% of the Singaporean work force is not Singaporean. They are very open to recruit talent from overseas. Many universities encourage international students to seek employment upon graduation. So if you find a suitable job, you can definitely stay behind.
Can I work part-time when I am studying?
Yes, you can work part-time when you are studying. You can work up to 20 hours a week when studying and full-time during vacations. A number of part-time jobs are available in super-markets, restaurants and shopping malls. Students can also check for internships within their respective university itself.
I will be able to work part time in Singapore?
Not true. Unless you are going to study in a government managed university in Singapore, you cannot work part time whilst studying. We do not recommend students to seek work during study period.
Singapore does not offer residency pathways?
Not true. If you are able to work for more than five years, you will be eligible to apply for Singaporean Permanent Residency.
